5 Instagrammable San Diego Spots // Point Loma
San Diego is a true beauty. A picturesque city, no matter which neighborhood you go to.
During the years that we’ve been living here in San Diego, we have spent a lot of time in Point Loma, an area on the west side of the city, close to the water and the airport. The Point Loma peninsula offers a mix of history, community, and jaw-dropping views. The more time we’ve spent in this neighborhood, the more I started noticing some exceptionally Instagrammable spots that I wanted to share!
For more photo-worthy San Diego spots, check out my previous blogs:
1. Liberty Station
Liberty Station, formerly the Naval Training Center, is home to numerous eateries, shops, and activities. So not only is it a great place to hang out and enjoy, but it’s also full of great of photo spots.
2. Sunset Cliffs
Now this is a San Diego can’t miss. Sunset Cliffs is a coastal community that offers unmatched views of, you guess it, the sunset. It’s a popular spot and we’ve even caught a few proposals here.
3. SHELTER ISLAND SHORELINE PARK
Shelter Island Shoreline Park is a mile-long scenic park that includes public art, marina views, a bayside promenade, and a fishing pier. Feels quintessentially San Diego!
4. Harper’s Topiary GARDEN
Harper’s Topiary Garden is one of my favorite Instagrammable spots in San Diego, situated between the Point Loma and Mission Hills neighborhoods. Located at 3549 Union St., this hidden gem features roughly 50 works of garden art.
5. Cabrillo NATIONAL Monument
At the southern most tip of Point Loma is Cabrillo National Monument, a statue commemorating Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo’s landing in San Diego in 1542. The landmark offers sweeping views of San Diego’s skyline and the Coronado bridge. For more adventures, visit the Cabrillo tide pools a short drive away.
