GETAWAY SERIES : Weekend in Phoenix, AZ
Seeing as how I'm a working girl, I don't have much time anymore for vacations. No more school breaks to take advantage of! I've been at my current job for about seven months now and have only taken two days off, so my travel log has been pretty empty lately. But for most of this year, I have been looking forward to a weekend getaway in Phoenix, Arizona and it finally arrived!
In honor of my weekend trip to Arizona, I've decided to start a Getaway Series on my blog and YouTube channel where I can document these little trips I take here and there. Please enjoy my first chapter in this new series!
Having a 7:20am flight meant an 5:30am airport arrival. While waking up that early is rough, being able to catch this morning views is worth it.

I am so lucky that I had one of my best gal pals Gabby accompanying me on this weekend getaway! When we reached our hotel, we dropped off our luggage then set out to explore the city.

While walking around Phoenix, Gabby and I found a lot of alleyway murals and paintings that were too good not to stop and stare at.

The reason for this weekend trip to Phoenix was to see Harry Styles in concert! I got tickets back in the spring so I had quite a few months to wait till this moment. To a packed theater, Harry put on an energetic and amazing show that I will definitely not forget.

Since we had a whole Sunday in Phoenix, Gabby and I decided to venture out to the Desert Botanical Gardens and loved it!

At the Desert Botanical Gardens, we explored a butterfly exhibit and though I slightly feared their frantic flying, I concurred my fear and couldn't get enough of them!
A little less than a year ago, my aunt and uncle moved down to Peoria. Since I was relatively close in Phoenix, Gabby and I were able to get together with them! We tagged along to an event in their community and met many of their fellow retired friends.
