3 Non-Alcoholic Drinks to Enjoy During Dry January
Happy 2024!
For many people, starting the new year fresh and healthy means abstaining from alcohol for a month. Dry January has become a well-known challenge and is a great time for a reset. By removing alcohol for a month, Dry January encourages positive and healthy habits that will hopefully continue throughout the rest of the year.
A few years back, I noticed my body was starting to react differently to alcohol. When I drank, I often got congested and felt really bloated. I didn’t enjoy how alcohol was making me feel, so I gradually and naturally started to cut back. Nowadays, I’ll enjoy a drink once in a blue moon or will opt for a non-alcoholic beverage.
One of the only bummers about not drinking is the lack of options. Oftentimes, the only non-alcoholic menu item when I go out to eat are soda and water. While I love a refreshing glass of water, sometimes I just want something a little more sweet, colorful, and exciting. I don’t want to feel left out of the fun just because I’m not consuming alcohol.
I am happy to see that as Dry January has become more popular and talked about, because there are so many great benefits. I have also started noticing more restaurants are offering zero-proof drinks and I’ve even started to whip up some mocktails at home. So, in that spirit, here are three non-alcoholic beverages I’ve been enjoying this Dry January!
