DIY Christmas Gifts
2020 has definitely thrown us some curveballs. At the start of the year, who would’ve thought we’d be where we’re at now in December? Not me! Because 2020 has been a wonky year, you may be struggling to think about what to gift people for Christmas. Below are three DIY gift ideas that will make whoever receives them feel special and show that you’re a thoughtful gift giver. Click through the photos to see more!
Mug Treats
The perfect way to keep warm in the winter cold is with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. To give somebody a little something extra to add to their daily warm drink, make them a mug treat! You can customize each one as well. All you need are some plastic spoons, chocolate, and whatever toppings you’d like to add, such as crushed up candy canes or marshmallows.
Making mug treats is incredibly easy. Just melt the chocolate, dip the spoons, then sprinkle your toppings over the chocolate. Once it dries, give your mug a little stir for added flavor and pizzazz.
Christmas Luminaries
Want to gift somebody with a little light and sparkle? These Christmas luminaries are the perfect DIY gift for home decor. They’re easy to make and a great decoration to add to your holiday festive display.
Apply a layer of mod podge to the outside of a jar. Sprinkle with a mixture of glitter and Epsom salt until evenly coated. Top your luminary with twine, ribbon, or fun crafts. You can then light the inside with a candle or a string of lights to truly illuminate the room.
Jar of Homemade Treats
Nothing screams thoughtfulness quite like homemade treats. If you’re like me, you become a baking machine during the holidays. You can gift your friends and loved ones with a jar full of your current baking that they can snack on all season long.
To make this gift, you’ll need a mason jar that’s the proper size to fit all of your homemade treats. Dress it up with some colorful material on top, then wrap it in twine and note with any necessary baking instructions or ingredient list.
