Summer '17 Playlist

Seems like in this digital age, certain acts are lost arts, such as sending flowers, writing letters, and making mix tapes. These physical expressions of love, of interest, of friendship have been reduced to text messages and Snapchats. While I do swim in the world of social media on a daily basis, there’s something nostalgic to me about these acts, especially making mixed CD’s. 

I think a collection of individually picked music is special and personal, and while I have gifted others with their own CD’s, I find that I make more for myself to enjoy. For the past few summers, I have made myself playlists to listen to as I’m driving as the sunsets in my rearview mirror, windows rolled down, volumed turned up high. This summer is no different. I have been enjoying so many different tunes and I thought I would put together a little playlist of my favorite Summer 2017 songs.
