Seattle Sights: Olympic Sculpture Park

On a surprisingly sunny winter day, Andrew and I drove down to the Seattle Waterfront for a day of city exploration. I hadn’t been to the Olympic Sculpture Park in years and Andrew had never been at all, so it seemed like the perfect place to go!

The park is nestled north of downtown and was created in 2007 by the Seattle Art Museum, who still operates it. Visiting is free and open to the public, so walking amongst the art and sculptures won’t cost you anything. The first time I went to the Olympic Sculpture Park was with my mom shortly after it opened, so it was nice to go again and see what has changed and remained the same after all these years. I still am amazed by the works of art that call Seattle home and that the public are able to have a space in the city to enjoy it.

After looking at all the sculptures, Andrew and I continued south down the waterfront, enjoying lunch at Ivar’s and a spontaneous trip to Wings Over Washington. It was the perfect day of exploring in a city that I already love.
