July Favorites // 2018
This last month has been full of memories and changes, which I think is why it feels like July just flew right by! I've loved almost every bit of it and I'm so excited to share my recent favorites!
My new haircut
For months I've been thinking about cutting my hair. The last time my hair was shorter than my shoulders was sophomore year of high school, so I've been rockin' long hair for about eight years. But I was ready for a change and this summer heat has been making my head sweaty. So I went for it!
After an hour long session at Salon Zuberenz in Lynnwood, WA, I walked out obsessed with my new do!
Bo & Vine Burger Bar
During my last weekend's camping trip down in Oregon, my boyfriend and I swung through Salem for a bite to eat. We settled on Bo & Vine Burger Bar and were not disappointed. My boyfriend ordered the Beach Bum Burger and I got the Birdstacker, while we shared a helping of Bo & Vine Tots. What I loved about our food was that they were fresh and our burgers were full of hearty ingredients. We left the restaurant with completely full bellies and feelin' good!
Harry Styles
Oh boy, good 'ole Harry Styles. I've been a fan of his since his time with One Direction, dating all the way back to 2011-2012. When he went solo and released his own album, of course I bought it and last October, my friend and I flew down to Phoenix to see him live. I bought those tickets before a Seattle tour date was released, but since he was going to be coming to town, I figured I might as well get tickets for that show too!
I will say, Harry Styles always puts on a good show. The lighting was fantastic, the harmonies were perfect, and he was just as charismatic as ever. I hope that people who are critical of boy bands and pop music can look past those preconceived judgments and actually take a listen to his music. It's pretty damn good.
Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches
I know, this is a random one, but bear with me! For the 4th of July, I had a BBQ with some friends and one of them showed up with homemade ice cream sandwiches. Look at those! Every aspect was homemade, the cookies and the ice cream! I ate so many that it seemed obvious to include these delicious bites as a monthly favorite!
What were some of your favorites during July?
