September Favorites // 2018
How in the world is it already October?! How?! September went by in the blink of an eye and the Seattle days are quickly changing from sunny to gray. That’s how you know fall is truly here. September was quite a busy month and I barely had time to catch my breath. With that being said, here is a rundown of my favorites from this past month!
Boston
For many months now, my boyfriend Andrew and I have been discussing making a trip to Boston to visit a couple of our friends and to get out of town for a few days. We were able to squeeze in four days on the east coast this last month and we had the absolute best time. We went to a Red Sox game at Fenway Park and sang “Sweet Caroline” with the crowd. We hiked up almost 300 steps of the Bunker Hill monument and had amazing Italian food in Little Italy. We walked around Harvard and “quested” at Boda Borg. All in all, it was an amazing time together and with our friends. To get a more detailed look at our trip, check out my “Getaway Series” post about Boston.
Cirque du Soleil VOLTA
Every time Cirque du Soleil comes to town, my parents and I try to go. This year, Andrew and his mom joined us at this year’s show, VOLTA. The theme of the show was transformation and finding your true self, set to the backdrop of extreme sports. I’m always amazed when I go to a Cirque du Soleil show at the strength and talent of these performers, some who are diving through small rings, doing tricks on BMX bikes, and twirling from the ceiling by just their hair! VOLTA is running till November 7 at Marymoor Park so if you have time, I highly recommend checking it out.
Summer 2018
It came and went in a flash. Summer 2018 was filled with so many amazing memories that I’m so happy I got to experience. Some of my favorite moments this summer were attending my first Pride, camping with Andrew, finding waterfalls at Silver Falls State Park, doing the Bubble Run with my mom, finding a new job that I absolutely love, traveling to Boston, going to multiple Mariners games, and spending time with my friends and family. This summer, I also challenged myself to take a one second video every single day from June 21-September 21 (the calendar start and finish of summer) and I’m so happy I have something I can look back on and remember this time. You can check my video out here!
What were you loving in September?
